Tales of the Cocktail® Reveals 2011 Commemorative Posters

Posters created by artists Frenchy and Robert Rodriguez will be featured throughout the Tales of the Cocktail 2011 festivities.

Tales of the Cocktail® is once again combining cocktail culture with the artistic spirit of New Orleans in the Tales of the Cocktail® 2011 commemorative festival poster. Featuring the bright, energetic, inspired work of renowned New Orleans artist, Frenchy, this year’s poster captures the spirit of Tales of the Cocktail® with a joyous depiction of the Carousel Bar at the Hotel Monteleone. The world’s premier cocktail festival returns to New Orleans July 20-24.

“I was honored to have been chosen as the official artist of this year’s Tales of the Cocktail® festivities,” said Frenchy. “The chance to paint people enjoying cocktails at one of the city’s most famous bars…what’s not to like about that?”

Frenchy was inspired to paint the unique bar patrons whom descend upon the Carousel Bar to capture all the different “Tales” at the bar along with what he calls the most inviting bar in the world. In addition to Frenchy’s original piece, Tales of the Cocktail® welcomes back award-winning artist Robert Rodriguez, who has created his third in a series of Tales of the Cocktail® posters. Robert’s 2011 “Shake Things Up” poster will be on sale during the festival where the internationally known artist will also be signing his limited edition artwork.
These posters are just two of the many items that will be available for sale at Tales of the Cocktail®. Other commemorative items include cocktail-inspired t-shirts by Fleurty Girl, bar tools, books and more.
