Tales of the Cocktail® Announces Spirited Seminars for 2011
A schedule of over 50 seminars will examine a wide range of topics designed to inform and inspire cocktail professionals.
March 1, 2011 – New Orleans – No two Tales of the Cocktails are ever the same, because every year brings a new and exciting schedule of seminars to stimulate the minds and taste buds of cocktail lovers from around the world. This year Tales of the Cocktail®, the world’s premier cocktail festival, is shaking things up once again with a new batch of seminars. With over 50 seminars, Tales of the Cocktail® will feature topics on bitters, the history of cocktail glasses, making house sodas and cocktail writing presented by some of the biggest names in mixology such as Harold McGee, Matthew Bax, Simon Ford, Paul Pacult and more.
“Thanks to the unrelenting passion our presenters have for cocktails, we’ve been able to put together another exciting schedule of seminars,” said Paul Tuennerman, Co-Founder of Tales of the Cocktail. “Though people will be faced with some tough decisions on which seminars to attend, no matter which ones they choose, they can’t lose.”
These seminars will join an already event intense schedule of events planned for Tales of the Cocktail® 2011, including the 5th Annual Spirited Award® Ceremony, 26 unique Spirited Dinners, a handful of Spirited Lunches, the USBG Bacardi Piña Colada Competition and much more. The Tales of the Cocktail® planning committee received hundreds of seminar proposals, each presenting a thought provoking take on the cocktail world. The seminar selection committee spent weeks evaluating seminar ideas in order to indentify those that would give a broad range of material to satisfy the very diverse group of Tales of the Cocktail® attendees.
