BC Bar Crawl Adds Local Flavor to Tales of the Cocktail on Tour

Festival attendees are invited to take a trip through downtown Vancouver to see the city’s best bars and sample their one-of-a-kind cocktails.
NEW ORLEANS, LA—January 17, 2011 – While in Vancouver for Tales of the Cocktail on Tour, everyone should sample the handiwork of the bartenders that are at the front of the city’s cocktail movement. To help festival attendees get a taste of this unique cocktail culture of British Columbia’s biggest city, the Tales of the Cocktail team has organized the BC Brawl Crawl, a wild romp through the streets of Vancouver with stops at the city’s top bars being held the evening of Monday, March 14, 2011.
“The amazing cocktails you can find in Vancouver’s diverse bar scene is no secret to those that call the city home,” said Danielle Tatarin, President of the Canadian Professional Bartenders Association. “But for visitors who are unfamiliar with the city’s cocktail culture, The BC Bar Crawl is the perfect opportunity to get a taste of what bartending in Vancouver is all about.”
From 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM, sixteen bars throughout the Vancouver area will offer signature cocktails created for this event. All cocktails will be priced at $11.00 including taxes. Participating bars include the Fairmont Pacific Rim, MARKET by Jean-Georges, The Keefer Bar, The Refinery, West, Boneta, The Diamond Room and many more. When the crawl has come to an end, revelers are encouraged to keep the party going by joining the crowd on Water Street for a surprise adventure starting at midnight.
