Tales of the Cocktail may only take place each July, but throughout the year the organization sponsors and supports events in New Orleans and other parts of the country that uphold the tradition of the American cocktail.
One of these events takes place this fall: Tales of the Eco-Toddy, scheduled for November 21 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Republic New Orleans. Chefs and mixologists will demonstrate their creativity with toddies, nogs, hot-buttered rum and other seasonal libations and snacks, while encouraging guests to celebrate a sustainable holiday by shopping for locally made artisan-crafted gifts at a holiday market, and by donating costumes, art supplies and other items to Recycle 4 the Arts.
We’ll be featuring some of these mixologists and chefs and their creations in the weeks leading up to the event, so keep checking back in the days to come. Tickets to Tales of the Eco-Toddy go on sale October 1 on the Tales website; prices are $25 in advance, $30 at the door.
