Hang on to your summer hats because Tales of the Cocktail Festival has descended on the French Quarter. This festival is one cool way to spend a steamy summer week in New Orleans.

Today the Grey Goose and I enjoyed 10¢ martinis while dining at BACCO’s on Chartres Street. BACCO is a fabulous Italian restaurant owned by Ralph Brennan of the famous Brennan restaurant family. No one does food and hospitality better than the Brennans.

In case you didn’t catch it the first time, during lunch martinis are only 10¢! They were a perfect compliment to our crabmeat lasagna and lobster ravioli.

Only one block from the famous Hotel Monteleone, we will surely be back to BACCO before the festival is over. They have wonderful dinner specials called Ciao Down at Sundown – 3 courses for $25 from 5:30 – 7:30 now through August 31.

See you on Royal Street tonight!
